Portrait Commissions
The OLD DOWNTOWN GALLERY represents internationally acclaimed portrait artist Laurie McGaw. Portraiture is experiencing a resurgence in popularity, capturing elegantly the essence of an individual for posterity.
Laurie McGaw specializes in portraiture, both private and corporate. Laurie's work has been featured internationally in books, magazines and in private and corporate collections for over 28 years.
Painting with oils on canvas, she is inspired by the painterly realism of John Singer Sargent. Her beautifully classic portraits reflect this inspiration.
Laurie studied In New York with one of the top portrait artists in the United States today, Daniel Greene.
